So... only with our dedicated Saddleback financial supporters and no retail business experience in Rwanda; we have Supported the Local Church's Outreach Mission to the Community and Vulnerable Youth.

The DREAM to empower local Youth to gain valuable business experience and help pull themselves out of the poverty and offer a Hope and Future.

What an amazing four year journey God has put us on, and as a result, many of you have traveled literally, financially and prayerfully to make this amazing project we know as Nehemiah's Best Coffee a reality.

Today, we are very proud to say that Nehemiah's Best Coffee is now located on the LOCAL CHURCH CAMPUS of St. Paul's Cathedral in Butare, Rwanda.

The sewing Program is set up to develop good beginning business skills of showing up on time, having a clean uniform, developing sewing skills and design.

Coffee Shop Interns receive ''hands on' experience skills within the working classroom needed for the growing Hotel, restaurant and retail markets

"PEACE Plan Water Initiative"

"The Story of Redemption"

"A Million Were Killed"

A Picture Says 1,000 Words ... Listen to These Stories ...

Everything that we do is THROUGH, BY AND FOR THE LOCAL CHURCH MISSION. Saddleback PEACE TEAMS support the local Church's mission of Nehemiah's Best Boffee to nurture healing, problem solving, active participation and a safe environment that will give these Young Adults a second chance at marketable job skills. These skills will help to Eliminate Poverty "One Cup at a Time". Our students have increased self-esteem, deeper Christian values, increased performance with a drive to   succeed and enhanced community spirit that is the heart of Nehemiah's Best Coffee student beneficiaries.

WE DREAM OF THE DAY WHEN WE CAN ELIMINATE "Poverty as a Disease" in Rwanda!

By partnering with Nehemiah's Best Coffee, you can be a part of this change by investing your time and / or financial support in providing the answer to "Poverty as a Disease". We will continue to develop training programs to empower those that have lost HOPE to forge a new path for themselves. You can impact the lives of these Young Adults today providing a HOPE and a FUTURE.

THE PURPOSE OF

NEHEMIAH'S BEST COFFEE

RECENT RWANDA TRIPS

Dec. 6, 2016 - Dec.r 25, 2016

THE LOCAL CHURCH  MISSIONprovides an opportunity to Young Adults, 15 to 25 years old, that have missed out on an education due to Poverty.

WE NEEDED TO DO MORE...

This year we have moved the Coffee Shop onto the LOCAL CHURCH CAMPUS. With this move; we are eliminating $800USD/month for rent and now can use the income for direct ministry activities. With a 'hands on' training classroom at the Coffee Shop and Internet Cafe; the interns learn skills in hygiene, customer care, English skills, etc. This business development model is a new concept as the Coffee Shop will

be the 'generator of income' to insure the sustainability of the Training Center & reproduction of businesses in the years to come.

Please take a tour though our

site and  we hope you will see how far we have come.

We continue to look for development partners that have the same heart for the target group of vulnerable Young Adults needing a 'Hand up NOT a Hand out'. We desire to develop new projects that will provide more opportunities for  these Young Adults. There are MANY WAYS to get involved in our programs, both working here in the USA, as

well as taking  working trips

with us. Please click on SUPPORT to learn more about how you can make a difference

with Nehemiah Training Center.

As a Saddleback Church PEACE Team Leader, we and have been working in Rwanda since 2008 with orphans and street children effected by the Genocide. The Anglican Church started this ministry through their Mother's Union to help street and underserved Young Adults. This Community based ministry has become the Nehemiah Training Center. The target age group for this ministry is 15 to 25 year old Young Adults. Teaching English with a main business development component; these students receive basic trade skills to help them out of POVERTY. Through the eight training modules from the nationally recognized Certificate Training Program, Akazi Kanoze; our students receive skills to be valuable in the growing Rwanda economy.

Nehemiah's Best Coffee

This Program has been developed to provide youth with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to become healthy, productive workers in the community.

The Art Program is designed to give students an overview of how 'ART' can be used in learning graphic skills in sign making, drawing and different art forms using natural materials.
