The work that is being established in Rwanda and any PEACE Plan Country does not go forward without the financial support of our Partners here. Someone shared with me recently that the only thing that they could give was financial. My response back was, 'Don't underestimate what finances can do for the Kingdom!".
Many people have still not heard about the great work that the PEACE Plan is doing Worldwide. Letting your friends know about Global Events and Rwanda Nights could change them as they look outside the business of our world here in the United States. Tell A friend about us.
Getting connected can be personally very rewarding.

I will never forget Pastor Rick in February 2008 standing up in the front of the Church and asking " Who will go with me to Rwanda?". That sentence changed my life as I raised my hand that I would go. If you say yes; God will make a way for you to step out and serve in Rwanda.
I sought out counsel from a respected Pastor to Rwanda and asked, "What should I do?". He said without reservation, "Just show up, love on the people and let God be in control". After 15 trips over the last 7 years; it is still my underlying theme for each trip... JOIN ME!!!!

All the seamstresses and tailors in this program learn all the aspects of sewing. They begin by learning about patterns, measurements for fit of clothes, how to properly pump on a tredle sewing machine (you know the one without electricity)
They practice sewing a straight line and putting pieces of material together.
Through the Akaze Kanoze Youth Livelihoods Project they life and business skills that will educate them to be ready to be in the job force. They become a community as the Young Adults meet each day to learn these skills.
The Art students begin in a small notebook learning how to draw and design letters and shapes in perspective. These design and perspective drawings equip them to be able to make business signs and logos for shirts and other applications. They also learn the Art of using Banana Bark as a medium to make amazing art pieces of huts, animals and people. The bark is pealed off and then scraped with a blade until it is paper thin. Only then are they ready to start the projects. The teacher uses an assembly line approach for the students to learn each particular design application. Finally they have a piece of art they can call their own with pride.
